Pune has been in the news once again, but unfortunately, it’s for all the wrong reasons. Another tragic accident has taken place on the bustling Karve Road, claiming the life of a two-wheeler rider. The victim, identified as Keshav Baburao Munge, was just 51 years old and a resident of Vadgaon Budruk.

The incident occurred early in the morning on 13th February when Munge was passing through Swatantra Chowk on Karve Road. A speeding vehicle collided with his bike, causing him severe injuries. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Munge couldn’t survive his injuries and passed away during treatment.

The Deccan Police have taken swift action in this case, registering a case against the driver responsible for the accident. Police Sub-Inspector Praveen Kulkarni is leading the investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to this tragic event.

This isn’t the first time Karve Road has witnessed such a devastating incident. In recent months, there have been several fatal accidents in the area, including the deaths of Aarti Suresh Manwane, Sunil Bhaskarrao Deshmukh, and Krishna Ganapati Deoli in separate incidents.

One particularly tragic accident involved a drunk tempo driver causing a major collision that resulted in the death of a two-wheeler passenger, Geetanjali Shrikant Amrale. The rider, Shrikant, also sustained severe injuries in the crash.

The growing number of accidents on Karve Road is a cause for concern, highlighting the need for increased safety measures and stricter enforcement of traffic regulations. Let’s hope that authorities take necessary steps to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.
