Hey Pune! Did you catch the ‘Eye C Magic’ car rally organized by Rotary District 3131 at Phoenix Market City in Viman Nagar? It was truly a sight to see as visually impaired students took on the challenge of navigating a 21 km rally alongside the driver. The event aimed to empower these students and show that they are just as capable as anyone else.
With 175 students from the Blind Men’s Association of Pune participating, the rally was a true celebration of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Rotary International’s commitment to these values was evident in the organization of the event by DEI Director Tejashree Patil and Co-Director Dr. Jigneshh Karria.
The presence of distinguished guests like District Governor Rotarian Shital Shah, rally champion Sanjay Takale, and R J Sangram Khopade added to the excitement of the day. The event was hosted by the Rotary Club of Poona, with support from other local Rotary clubs.
Overall, it was a day filled with inspiration and empowerment, showcasing the abilities of visually impaired individuals in a unique and impactful way. Kudos to everyone involved in making ‘Eye C Magic’ a success!
