If you were out and about on FC Road last weekend, you might have witnessed quite the commotion at L3 Lounge. It seems like the Pune Police have their hands full with a new investigation into drug usage at the popular hotspot.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Gill, Zone 1, spilled the beans to Punekar News about the progress they’ve made so far. Apparently, they’ve managed to identify a suspect from a viral video showing drug consumption at the lounge. Talk about modern-day detective work!
To get to the bottom of things, the police have conducted blood tests at a government hospital to check for narcotics. And let’s not forget about the meticulous panchnama of the bar area – the forensic team has been hard at work collecting evidence.
But hey, we all know that good things take time, especially when it comes to chemical analysis. DCP Gill reassured everyone that they’re on top of it and working as quickly as possible to process the results.
In the meantime, the police have already taken action against eight individuals involved in the case, including the facilitator, DJ, organizer, and owners of the lounge. And it doesn’t stop there – four police officials have been suspended by the Pune Police Commissioner for their connection to the incident.
Thankfully, there’s no mention of minors being involved in the case. However, it seems like the club owner isn’t exactly new to run-ins with the law.
On a related note, the Excise Department has also been busy, suspending two of its officers in light of the incident. Looks like everyone is cracking down hard on this one!
