Hey there Punekars! It seems like the party scene in Pune is getting a major shakeup. A complaint about the infamous L3 Club on FC Road has led to its closure after videos of drug use and wild late-night parties surfaced. The complaint was sent to the Pune District Collector back in June, but no action was taken at the time.

This isn’t the first time Pune has cracked down on unruly clubs. District Collector Suhas Diwase recently revoked the licenses of six rooftop clubs following complaints from the Pune Police. Former District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh even held two hearings to address the issue. Complaints and FIRs have been piling up against clubs in Kalyaninagar and Koregaon Park as well.

Diwase isn’t messing around when it comes to these clubs. He’s ordered the PMC to provide a list of all illegal clubs to the Excise Department for further action. So far, details of 92 clubs have been submitted, including popular spots like Penthouse Hotel Crown Plaza, Unicorn, and Agatya Restaurant and Bar.

The PMC Commissioner has promised to share an updated list with district authorities soon. Reports suggest that over 130 clubs in Pune have already been sealed by the Excise Department. However, there seems to be some confusion over the exact number, with officials giving different counts.

But the crackdown doesn’t stop there. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has ordered officials to use bulldozers to tear down illegal constructions at pubs across the state. Looks like it’s time for club owners to start following the rules or face the consequences! Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
