Pune Railway Station under scrutiny for selling spoiled food items

Members of the Railway Advisory Committee in Pune have raised concerns over the sale of spoiled food items at the Pune Railway Station. During their inspection, they found a vada-pav vendor selling spoiled food, putting passengers at a health risk.

A video of the incident was shared on social media by the Pune (Rural) Passengers’ Group, highlighting the negligence of IRCTC and railway officials in ensuring food quality at the station. The committee members also inspected hotel kitchens at Pune and Shivajinagar railway stations to ensure food safety standards are being met.

Regional Railway Advisory Committee members Anand Saptarshi, Bibhishan Jadhav, and Dr. Aditya Patakrao, along with railway officials, visited stalls at Pune, Hadapsar, Chinchwad, and Shivajinagar railway stations to assess the situation. The committee members emphasized the importance of maintaining high food quality standards to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers.
