Hey Pune peeps, listen up! There are some new changes coming your way when it comes to street parking in the city. The authorities have issued provisional orders to make sure traffic flows smoothly and safely in areas like Bharati Vidyapeeth, Bund Garden, Kothrud, Chaturshringi, and Yerawada.

Under the Yerawada Traffic Branch, parking is a no-go within 20 meters south and 50 meters north of the Sangam World Centre India gate of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts on Service Road. So, find somewhere else to park your wheels!

If you usually park on the main road from Katraj Bypass to Swargate under the Bharati Vidyapeeth Traffic Branch, you’ll need to find a new spot. No parking is allowed from Katraj Bypass to the Bharti Vidyapeeth Foot Over Bridge. But don’t worry, there’s some angular parking available for two-wheelers up to 100 meters from the ICICI Bank corner on the service road next to Katraj Bypass.

Over in the Bund Garden and Kothrud areas, there’s a strict no-parking rule in place for all types of vehicles. So, make sure you find a proper spot to leave your car to avoid any trouble.

And in Chaturshringi, a no-parking and no-halting zone is in effect for a stretch of road from Baner Mhalunge Road to Saikar Chowk. So, be sure to keep that in mind when planning your travels.

If you have any suggestions or objections to these changes, make sure to submit them in writing to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic Branch by July 7. Final orders will be issued after considering all feedback, except for vehicles of essential services.

Stay safe on the roads, Pune!
