Hey there, folks! Big news coming out of Mundhwa today as the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is gearing up to implement a Town Planning (TP) scheme for some areas that have been lagging in development. Yep, you heard that right!
So, apparently, even though Mundhwa is part of the Development Plan (DP), there are certain sections, specifically Survey Nos. 45 to 48 and 64 to 70, that haven’t really seen much progress. That’s where Municipal Commissioner Dr. Rajendra Bhosale comes in with a plan to introduce a TP scheme to make sure things are more organized and improved in terms of infrastructure.
The proposal was discussed in a recent City Improvement Committee (CIC) meeting, and since there’s no elected body at the moment, it looks like the commissioner will have the final say on this one. Former BJP corporator Umesh Gaikwad had actually written to the PMC Commissioner earlier, pushing for this scheme to happen, and now it seems like it’s finally on the table.
Now, let’s talk details. The scheme will cover a total area of 7.5 lakh square meters, with sections already approved for construction and designated for roads, public amenities, and industrial use. Sounds like a pretty comprehensive plan, huh?
With the PMC elections postponed, the administrator is holding all the cards when it comes to making decisions for the city. And while there have been calls for a TP scheme in Mundhwa for a while now, the sudden proposal has definitely got people talking about the timing and reasons behind it.
Looks like we’ll have to wait and see how this all plays out. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story!
