If you’re in Daund, you might want to think twice before trying your luck with online matka gambling. The Pune Rural Police are cracking down on these operations, with the latest raid targeting a den in Shalimar Chowk.

This isn’t the first time the police have set their sights on this particular gambling spot – it’s actually the second raid in just seven months. During the operation on 24th June, authorities seized various items used for online gambling, including tablets, TVs, and cash amounting to Rs. 7,500. The case was registered based on a complaint filed by Constable Amol Garudi.

The man behind the operation has been identified as Abraham Thomson Dorkhande, a 31-year-old resident of Shalimar Chowk. This isn’t the first time he’s been in trouble for his gambling activities – a citizen reported the den back in November 2023, leading to action being taken against Dorkhande.

Despite the efforts of the Pune Rural Police’s Local Crime Branch and Daund Police, it seems that online matka operations in Daund taluka are still going strong. A known gang continues to run these activities on a daily basis, with little significant action being taken against them.

So, if you’re thinking about getting involved in online matka gambling in Daund, you might want to reconsider. The authorities are keeping a close eye on these operations, and it’s only a matter of time before they come knocking on your door. Stay safe and gamble responsibly, folks.
