The incident that shook Vadgaon, Pune, on 11th March 2025, involved a couple being viciously attacked by three men wielding a Koyta. The couple had confronted one of the men for urinating in public, which led to a heated argument escalating into violence.
The woman, aged 37, and her husband were on their way home from work when they stopped near a local administrative office. Three men on a motorcycle arrived, with one of them relieving himself nearby. When the husband objected, a confrontation ensued, resulting in the brutal attack on the woman.
The assailants claimed to be associated with a local gangster known as “AD Bhai,” and they made their allegiance known by assaulting the couple. The woman was struck on the head and hand with the Koyta, while her husband was restrained during the attack.
The attackers justified their actions by declaring their dominance over the area and threatening anyone who dared to stop them from urinating wherever they pleased. As the situation escalated, the husband also became a target of the attackers, who fled the scene when bystanders started to gather.
The police were informed promptly, and a case of attempted murder has been registered against the attackers. An investigation is currently ongoing to apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice for their violent actions.
