Are you a Pune resident struggling to book an appointment for high-security registration plates (HSRP)? You’re not alone. The official website, www.mhhsrp.com, has been plagued with technical glitches, making the process a nightmare for many applicants.

One resident from Hadapsar shared his frustration after spending an entire Sunday trying to register his two-wheeler, only to be met with continuous errors. Another applicant managed to get through most steps but faced multiple transaction failures during the payment stage.

Despite 1.44 lakh vehicle owners securing appointments, only 32,388 vehicles in Pune have had their HSRPs installed so far. This is a mere fraction of the 25 lakh vehicles in the city that need to switch to high-security plates.

Residents are reporting unresponsive websites, constant refreshing, and frustrating experiences while trying to secure appointments. Efforts to reach Maharashtra Transport Commissioner Vivek Bhimanwar for clarification have been unsuccessful, but Pune Deputy RTO Swapnil Bhosle has stated that authorities are aware of the complaints and are working with the company responsible for HSRP installations to address the technical issues.

Rosemerta Digital Services, the company in charge of HSRP installations, has acknowledged the problems and advised users to double-check their vehicle details before entering them. They are also in the process of adding new centers and confirming appointments.

With the deadline fast approaching, many applicants are urging authorities to improve the online booking system and increase the number of centers to avoid last-minute chaos. Some are even calling for an extension of the deadline to ensure compliance without technical barriers.
