The Nationalist Congress Party – Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) recently made headlines with their symbolic Holi protest in Pune. The party staged the protest at the NCP Bhavan, where they burned effigies of Valmik Karad, Prashant Koratkar, and Rahul Solapurkar to symbolize their opposition to the Maharashtra Government’s handling of economic issues, inflation, unemployment, and law and order.

Prashant Jagtap, the NCP-SP Pune City President, explained that the protest was a traditional way to burn away evil practices and condemn the negative tendencies of the government officials mentioned. He stressed that the party’s aim was to call for better governance and address the pressing issues facing the state.

The protest comes in the midst of growing dissatisfaction with the government, particularly concerning rising crime rates in Pune, such as the recent Swargate Bus Depot Rape Case. The NCP-SP’s actions are part of their ongoing efforts to highlight the government’s failures and push for reforms that benefit the people of Maharashtra.
