Hey there, folks! Today we have a shocking murder case to report on from Shirur. A man named Mauli Gangurde allegedly strangled his wife to death after an argument over attending a wedding. Can you believe it?
The incident took place on the night of 11 February in Ganegaon Khalsa. Gangurde, a sugarcane harvester from Dadpimpri, Chalisgaon, Jalgaon district, reportedly killed his 27-year-old wife Minabai with a rope. What a tragic and senseless act!
After committing the crime, Gangurde went on the run, evading the police for a month. But thanks to the diligent efforts of the Shirur Police, he was finally apprehended on 12 March. Talk about a dramatic capture!
The police had to deploy three teams and conduct a thorough search operation in various areas before finally tracking down the accused in his native village. It was like something out of a movie!
Gangurde had been smart enough to stay off the grid and avoid leaving any digital footprints, but that didn’t stop the authorities from catching him in the end. Kudos to the police for their persistence and dedication.
As of now, Gangurde is in police custody, and the investigation is ongoing. Let’s hope justice is served for Minabai and her family. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story. Stay safe out there, everyone!
