Traffic diversions and alternate routes have been put in place for vehicles traveling to and from Mumbai and Pune. Vehicles coming from Mumbai are advised to take a left from the Dehu Road exit on the expressway and follow the service road via Mamurdi. They can then make a U-turn from Kiwale Bridge to Mukai Chowk and continue via the service road. Those coming from the old Mumbai-Pune Highway should take a U-turn at Central Chowk and proceed via Sai Nagar Phata.
However, there are some prohibited routes that vehicles need to be aware of. Vehicles from the old Mumbai-Pune Highway, Somatane Phata, and Mamurdi underpass are restricted.
For vehicles coming from Pune, it is recommended that they turn left from Kiwale Bridge and take the service road if traveling via the Pune-Bangalore Highway. Traffic from Nigdi and Hanging Bridge will be diverted via Ravet Chowk, Bhondve Chowk, and Krishna Chowk.
There are also restricted entry points for certain vehicles. Only car pass holders and essential vehicles are allowed from Gahunje Bridge to Y Junction, while heavy vehicles are restricted from 1 PM to midnight near Mamurdi, Kanetkar Bungalow, and Krishna Chowk.
To ensure smooth traffic flow, the police have issued an advisory for concert attendees to follow designated routes and avoid internal roads in Mamurdi village. Vehicles are also advised to move in a single lane on narrow service roads to prevent gridlocks.
In order to avoid delays, it is important for travelers to plan their routes accordingly and follow the guidelines set by the authorities. Stay informed and stay safe on the roads!
