Residents in Mohammadwadi and Undri HillTop Nyati County Societies in Pune are facing daily power outages, creating chaos in their everyday routines. Despite numerous complaints, the problem persists, leaving locals frustrated and powerless.

In a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and MSEDCL Managing Director Lokesh Chandra, members of Team MURWD Foundation highlighted the seriousness of the situation. Sunil Kaloti, Sunil Aiyer, and Nadeem Inamdar expressed concern over the frequent power failures lasting for hours. Kaloti questioned the actions of MSEDCL workers on the ground, considering residents pay their bills on time.

Specific infrastructure issues worsen the situation, such as high tension wires near Dorabjee Paradise Bungalow causing commuting problems and poles at Kad Nagar Chowk jeopardizing resident safety. Despite efforts by the PMC to widen roads, MSEDCL has not relocated its infrastructure, leading to traffic congestion and accidents.

The outdated infrastructure in the area is a major cause of power disruptions, resulting in inconvenience, food spoilage, water scarcity, work-from-home disruptions, and damage to electrical appliances. Residents have not received a satisfactory response from MSEDCL to their complaints, adding to their frustration.

Kaloti urged authorities to identify the root cause of the problem, upgrade infrastructure for reliable power supply, and establish a prompt response team. The residents seek a quick resolution to the issue causing them distress.

The residents of Mohammadwadi and Undri HillTop Nyati County await a response from the authorities to address their ongoing struggles with power outages.
