Hello Pune peeps! If you’re living in Maharashtra, you might want to grab your umbrellas and raincoats because the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a five-day rain warning for several districts in the state.

A red alert has been declared for Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Satara, and Pune districts, so make sure to stay safe and be cautious. In addition, an orange alert is in place for Palghar, Thane, Ratnagiri, and Raigad districts.

Konkan region is expected to experience heavy rainfall today, with a red alert specifically issued for Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Pune, and Satara districts. IMD has warned that some areas may see rainfall exceeding 205 mm.

For those in Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, and Raigad districts, an orange alert is in effect with wind speeds reaching 50 to 60 km per hour and potential lightning strikes. So, hold on to your hats and stay indoors if possible.

Kolhapur district is under an orange alert today, followed by a yellow alert tomorrow, and a green alert on July 10. Sangli district will also experience a yellow alert for the next two days, transitioning to a green alert afterwards.
