1. Metro Medians Misused as Garbage Dumping Sites: TSKN highlighted the unsanitary practice of using metro medians as dumping grounds, causing hygiene and sanitation problems in the area.

2. Encroachments and Unauthorized Constructions: The team expressed concerns over the rising number of encroachments and illegal commercial constructions in Kalyani Nagar.

3. Storm Water Drainage System Failures: Residents in central and south Kalyani Nagar, particularly in Lanes 6, 13, Fortaleza, and Sky One, are facing severe flooding issues due to the failure of the storm water drainage system.

4. Hawkers Blocking Footpaths: TSKN pointed out the increasing presence of hawkers and businesses encroaching on footpaths, impeding pedestrian movement.

5. Deteriorating Footpaths: The deteriorated condition of footpaths in the area was highlighted as a major concern, requiring immediate repairs.

6. Misuse of Dugad Plot on Central Avenue: Several businesses have been misusing the Dugad plot, leading to illegal stalls and creating a nuisance in the area.

7. Sanitation and Hygiene Issues: Problems related to the collection of garden waste, construction debris, shortage of staff, and the halt in night sweeping routines were brought to the commissioner’s attention.

8. Garbage Burning and Air Quality Concerns: The frequent burning of garbage has led to poor air quality in Kalyani Nagar, raising health concerns among residents.

Dr. Bhosale assured TSKN that these issues would be addressed promptly, and follow-up meetings have been planned to monitor progress. The residents of Kalyani Nagar are hopeful that these issues will be resolved soon, making their neighborhood cleaner, safer, and more organized.
