Residents of VTP Celesta Society in Mohammadwadi, Pune are facing a host of issues due to negligence from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and inadequate infrastructure provided by VTP Realty. The society, comprising 78 flats and seven shops, has been dealing with problems since moving in, with delays in possession and incomplete promised amenities. Residents allege that the builder charged them maintenance fees despite incomplete facilities and used resources for construction activities, passing on the costs to residents. They also claim that the builder made modifications without consent, violating RERA regulations. The lack of proper water provision, sewage treatment facilities, and wet waste disposal systems has led to high costs for residents. Safety hazards like altered exit ramp designs and steep entry slopes have raised concerns among residents. They are demanding action from PMC to address these issues and ensure their safety and well-being. Despite receiving the OC in 2022, residents are being taxed for amenities they never received, with no cleaning or garbage collection by PMC. VTP Realty claims that management was transferred to the resident committee in 2023, but residents say they have been emailing the builder about these issues with no response. Residents are calling for swift action to rectify these problems and protect their investments.
