Apparently, there was a rioting and threatening case registered against Manorama by the Paud police station. The police are not taking this lightly, as they visited her bungalow in National Housing Society on Baner Road, Aundh, today. Unfortunately, she wasn’t home, so they had to leave empty-handed.
The video that caused all this commotion shows Manorama waving around a firearm during an argument with farmers over a land dispute in Dhadawali village. The Pune Rural police confirmed that the video is legit and was recorded during an incident in June 2023.
Manorama’s lawyer claims that she was only carrying the gun for self-defense due to the secluded nature of the disputed land. But it looks like the police are not convinced. They have issued another notice asking why the pistol should not be confiscated.
