Hey there, folks! Today we’ve got some juicy news coming out of Pune. Four builders are in hot water for not delivering a flat on time and allegedly pulling a fast one on a customer by mortgaging the flat without their knowledge.

The incident went down at the Marvel Basilo housing project in Koregaon Park, spanning from August 16, 2014 to October 25, 2016. Sunny Francis Jacob, a resident of Bund Garden, was not having it and decided to file a complaint at the Koregaon Park Police Station.

The promoters of the project, including Vijay Vasudev Wadhwa, Sanjay Rajkumar Chhabria, Naveen Amarlal Makhija, and Vishwajit Subhash Zawar, have been hit with charges under various sections of the IPC and the Maharashtra Ownership of Flats Act.

According to the complaint, Shyam Asnani and his daughter had booked a flat and two car parkings at Marvel Basilo for a cool Rs 3,19,25,500. Asnani paid most of the amount through RTGS and cheques but the builders failed to hand over the flat within the agreed time frame.

To add insult to injury, the builders allegedly mortgaged the flat to a finance company behind Asnani’s back, leaving him feeling cheated. The police are on the case and are digging further into the matter.

Well, that’s one way to ruin someone’s day. Let’s hope justice is served and the builders learn their lesson. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story!
