The global Microsoft system outage on 19th July 2024 has caused chaos at airports across India, including Pune Airport. Flights have been delayed due to widespread blue screen errors, affecting several flights departing from Pune. Airport Director Santosh Dhoke revealed that the outage has forced them to manage operations manually, leading to significant delays for passengers.

Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol addressed the situation, attributing the issue to an interruption in Microsoft’s cloud services. He assured the public that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Civil Aviation are actively monitoring the situation. Private airlines have been instructed to keep passengers informed about any disruptions and efforts are being made to resolve the issue swiftly to minimize inconvenience.
