Good news for party-goers and club enthusiasts in Pune as the District Collector has given the green light to 14 clubs whose licenses were previously suspended. This move comes at a time when the hospitality industry is facing financial challenges due to the ongoing pandemic.

Dr Suhas Diwase, the District Collector, has taken the decision to reinstate the licenses of these clubs as part of a comprehensive review process. The clubs that have been given the go-ahead to resume operations are spread across different police jurisdictions in Pune.

In Pune City Police Jurisdiction, clubs in Kharadi, Balewadi, Kothrud, and Sahakar Nagar (Satara Road) can now welcome patrons once again. Meanwhile, in Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Jurisdiction, a club in Pimple Saudagar and another in Chakan have been cleared to reopen.

For those in Pune Rural Police Jurisdiction, clubs in Indapur, Khed Taluka, and Junnar have also been given the green light. However, it’s not all smooth sailing for these clubs as the District Collector has emphasized that thorough checks will be conducted to ensure compliance with regulations.

The authorities will be scrutinizing these clubs for any violations and will take into account any complaints lodged by the Pune police, PMC, PCMC, and PMRDA before considering the full revocation of their suspensions. Club owners and managers are urged to adhere to the guidelines and regulations to avoid any further disruptions in their operations.
