In a shocking case of malpractice, doctors at Sassoon General Hospital in Pune have been caught leaving destitute patients at remote locations. Social workers Dadasaheb and Ritesh Gaikwad uncovered this inhuman practice by setting a trap.

The suspicions arose when a patient admitted by Dadasaheb disappeared from the hospital premises. This led him to believe foul play was involved, prompting him and Ritesh to take action. They admitted another patient to the hospital and waited outside in the early hours of the morning. A doctor named Adi was seen leaving with the patient in an auto-rickshaw, dropping them off in an isolated area before driving away in a car with a hospital employee.

Ritesh explained, “We take care of destitute individuals at our Ashram through the Rugna Adhar Foundation. We discovered that doctors at Sassoon Hospital were abandoning these patients without providing proper treatment. We had been monitoring their activities for months.”

Congress MLA Ravindra Dhangekar and Shiv Sena leader Sushma Andhare expressed their outrage at this appalling behavior. The case has been reported to the Yerwada Police Station and an investigation is underway. This incident sheds light on the importance of accountability and compassion in the medical profession.
