Hey there, folks in Pune! Did you know that there are 49 unauthorized schools in the district? Yeah, you heard that right. And guess what? The Pune Zilla Parishad is not messing around – they’ve already closed down 13 of these schools and filed cases against 10 more. And the best part? They’re not stopping there. The process of registering cases against 12 other unauthorized schools is still ongoing.
According to Sanjay Naikade, the Primary Education Officer of the Pune Zilla Parishad, some of these unauthorized schools are located in rural areas, while others fall under the jurisdiction of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). After the list of unauthorized schools was made public, the Education Department of the Pune Zilla Parishad wasted no time in taking action against those who were not complying with the closure orders. And who gave the green light for all this action? None other than the CEO of Pune Zilla Parishad, Santosh Patil.
Out of the 49 unauthorized schools, 13 have already been shut down. Five schools have managed to get approval, and three have even received letters of intent from the administration. But wait, there’s more. Four unauthorized schools have taken their case to court, and 12 schools have paid the fines that were imposed on them. As for the remaining 12 schools? Well, they’re about to get some serious legal heat coming their way.
Sanjay Naikade dropped some names of the schools that are in hot water – Jesus Christ English Medium School in Kamshet, Kingsway Public School in Lonavala, EMH English Medium School in Phursungi, and many more. So, if you know anyone who attends these schools, you might want to give them a heads up.
