Hey Pune peeps, it looks like the heavy rains have really thrown a wrench into our electricity supply system. The flooding has caused chaos across the city and surrounding areas, with power being shut down to nearly 700 distribution units and 13 power lines as a safety precaution.

The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) is working hard to get the power back on, but the repair efforts are facing delays due to the ongoing bad weather. So, it looks like we’ll have to sit tight until the floodwaters recede and the inspections are complete.

Areas like Sinhagad Road, Ektangari, Pujapark, and many others are feeling the brunt of the power outages. And it’s not just them – places like Shivajinagar, Chavannagar, and Balaji Mandir are also in the dark because of water getting into the electrical systems.

Maval and Mulshi talukas have seen some serious damage as well, with power poles being uprooted and villages left without electricity. Even Alandi town and Kamshet are facing power cuts due to the overflowing rivers and fallen power poles.

But don’t worry, folks. MSEDCL is on high alert and working non-stop to fix the issues. Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar is leading the charge, and they’re asking for our cooperation as they navigate through this challenging time.

So hang in there, Pune. Let’s all do our part to help get the power back on and weather this storm together. Stay safe and stay dry!
