Hey folks, if you’re living in Pimpri Chinchwad, you might want to pay attention to this news. Yesterday, the city experienced heavy rainfall which has caused the turbidity level of water in the river and other water sources to shoot up. As a result, the PCMC administration has decided to slow down the water supply on July 26.

The Chief Engineer of PCMC, Shrikant Savane, made the announcement today, stating that the increased load due to the rainfall has led to a technical failure at the Ravet pumping house. This means that the water supply in Pimpri-Chinchwad will be delayed and reduced in pressure and quantity tomorrow.

The administration is working hard to fix the pumping house and get the water supply back to normal as soon as possible. But in the meantime, residents are facing a water shortage.

With the heavy rainfall, there’s also an increased risk of waterborne diseases. So, the administration is advising people to purify and boil their water before drinking it. They’re making sure to provide clean and safe water to everyone in the city. Stay safe and stay hydrated, Pimpri Chinchwad!
