Well, folks, it looks like Symbiosis International (Deemed University) in Pune has had to hit the brakes on their 21st convocation ceremony. Why, you ask? Well, it seems like President Droupadi Murmu had to reschedule her visit to Maharashtra, which threw a wrench in the original plans.

Earlier reports had mentioned that 14 schools in the Sus area were going to be closed on July 29 because of President Murmu’s attendance at the convocation. But now, with the President’s visit postponed, the university had no choice but to call off the ceremony.

In an official statement, Symbiosis University expressed their regrets over the situation, citing the President’s rescheduled visit and the ongoing heavy rainfall in the region as reasons for the decision. The Department of Disaster Management, Government of Maharashtra, had issued an advisory due to the heavy rains and water release from dams, adding to the concerns.

The university made it clear that the safety and well-being of their students and their families was their top priority. They assured everyone that a new date for the convocation would be set once the weather conditions improved.

While this news may have disappointed many, Symbiosis University is working on rescheduling the ceremony to honor the achievements of their students. In the meantime, they’re asking for cooperation from everyone involved. Stay tuned for updates on when the convocation will be back on track!
