Hey Pune peeps, get ready for some heavy rain! The Meteorological Department has issued an ‘Orange Alert’ for our city on July 27, with heavy to very heavy rain expected in the ghat area and light to moderate rainfall in the plain areas.
But don’t worry, the next three days will be a bit calmer. The department has issued a “Yellow Alert” for July 28th, 29th, and 30th, with the possibility of heavy rain in the Ghat area and the city.
We’ve already seen some heavy rain in the state, with excess water being released from the Khadakwasla dam causing waterlogging in many parts of Pune. Luckily, the discharge of water from the dam has been stopped for now.
