Kalyani Nagar witnessed a touching event on 25th May 2024, as Team Swacch Kalyani Nagar organized a silent candle march to honor the memory of Ashwini and Aneesh, who tragically lost their lives in a Porsche accident in Pune. The event, held a week after the incident, drew a large crowd of supporters from various parts of the city, highlighting the community’s shared grief and demand for justice.

Starting at 9 PM, the march was well-coordinated by TSKN, with measures in place for traffic management and crowd control. Wardens, bouncers, and volunteers were on hand to ensure a peaceful atmosphere, and the police were present to oversee the proceedings.

Residents from Baner, Balewadi, Lohegaon, and other areas joined hands in solidarity, forming a human chain with candles and torches to pay their respects to the victims and call for accountability. Notable figures such as Supreme Court Lawyer Satya Muley and Civic Activists Pushkar Kulkarni and Vaishali Patkar were among those who participated in the vigil.

Attendees shared their thoughts, expressing sadness over the loss of Ashwini and Aneesh and emphasizing the need for stricter traffic laws. The march served as a reminder of the importance of road safety and the community’s determination to prevent such tragedies from happening again.
