Hey Pune peeps, have you heard about the recent decision by the Lok Adalat? A family of a deceased municipal employee just hit the jackpot with a whopping Rs 58 lakh in compensation! Talk about justice being served.
So here’s the scoop – back in June 2020, a tragic accident took place in the Dhanori area. A 57-year-old municipal employee was out running errands on his two-wheeler when a careless motorist opened their car door right in his path. The poor guy crashed into it, suffering serious head injuries. Despite being rushed to a private hospital, he sadly passed away a couple of days later.
Fast forward to now, and the Lok Adalat has come through for the family of the deceased. First Class Judicial Magistrates BP Kshirsagar and JG Dorley, along with Advocate Atul Gunjal, played a key role in getting the family their well-deserved compensation through a compromise settlement.
Of course, the legal drama didn’t stop there. The Vishrantwadi police got involved and filed a case against the motorist. And the family didn’t waste any time either – they filed a compensation suit in the motor accident court, with Advocate Sunita Navale leading the charge against both the motorist and the insurance company.
