The illegal trafficking of tiger skin continues to be a major issue in India, with six individuals being arrested at the Nashirabad toll plaza near Jalgaon. The suspects, hailing from different regions, were caught in a joint operation by the customs departments of Pune and Jalgaon.

The names of the accused include Ajwar Sujat Bhosle, Kakangnabai Ajwar Bhosle, Rahim Rafiq Pawar, Tevebai Rahim Pawar, Mohammad Atthar Khan, and Nadim Gayasuddin Shaikh. They were all residents of Halkheda in Muktainagar, Jalgaon, Bhopal, and Ahmednagar, respectively.

After being handed over to the Jalgaon forest department, a case was registered under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. Authorities also confiscated five cellphones and two motorcycles from the suspects, with initial investigations pointing towards the tiger being poached in Madhya Pradesh.

The arrests serve as a reminder of the ongoing battle against wildlife crime and the importance of cooperation between different law enforcement agencies to combat such illegal activities.
