Hey there, folks! Here’s some shocking news from Pune and Jalgaon that will make your jaw drop. Six poachers, yes you heard that right, six poachers, including two women, were busted for killing a tiger and trying to sell its skin. Can you believe it?

One of the women accused even went to the extent of wearing the tiger skin under her saree to avoid getting caught. Talk about desperate measures! Thankfully, the Pune and Nagpur Customs officials teamed up to conduct a joint operation and nab these culprits on July 26.

The arrested individuals were named as Ajvar Sujat Bhosale, Rahim Pardhi, Teva Bai Pardhi, Kakana Bai, Nadim Shaikh, and Mohammad Athar. They are now facing charges under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.

According to reports, the prime suspect was directly involved in the killing of the tiger. And get this – one of the women actually wore an 11-ft long tiger skin under her saree. Can you imagine the audacity?

The poachers were found to have poisoned a Nilgai carcass in the forest of Madhya Pradesh to lure the tiger and then killed it. The tiger skin was seized and all six accused were handed over to the Forest Department for further investigation.

This joint operation between the Customs teams of Pune and Nagpur is definitely a rare occurrence. Kudos to them for cracking down on these illegal activities. Let’s hope this serves as a warning to others who may be thinking of engaging in such heinous acts.

Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story. Until next time, folks!
