Hey Pune, did you experience a sudden power outage on Monday evening? Well, you’re not alone! A technical glitch at MahaTransco’s Jejuri 400 KV substation caused a temporary blackout in several parts of the city. Approximately 2.75 lakh consumers were left in the dark for about half an hour.

The malfunction at the Jejuri substation led to a power deficit in transmission, prompting the activation of the Load Trimming Scheme to avoid any potential dangers. This resulted in a halt in power supply to the ultra high voltage substations in Fursungi, Parvati, and Nanded City.

Areas like Parvati, Nanded City, Sinhagad Road, and many more were affected by the outage. But fear not, MahaTransco technicians worked swiftly to restore power by 8:38 PM.

Efforts are being made to ensure the stability of the transmission system and avoid any future disruptions. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story!
