Hey Pune peeps, have you heard the latest buzz about the Pune Metro development? Shiv Sena leader and Maval MP Shrirang Barne is making moves to expand the metro lines to connect more areas in the city. He recently met with Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, to present a proposal for new metro lines.

The proposed metro lines would connect Bhakti Shakti Chowk to Mukai Chowk in Kiwale, extending to Wakad. Additionally, there is a request to build a metro line from Pimple Saudagar to Chakan. These new lines would benefit areas like Wakad, Pimple Saudagar, Kiwale, Punawale, Ravet, Chinchwad, Chakan, Alandi, and Bhosari, which are currently not connected by the metro.

MP Barne took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his excitement about the project, stating that the goal is to enhance the comfort of citizens and promote overall development in Maval. He emphasized the importance of addressing the traffic issues in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad through improved public transport.

Currently, the Pune Metro operates on two lines – the Purple Line and the Aqua Line, with a third line, the Red Line, under construction. The expansion of the metro network would provide better connectivity and ease traffic congestion in the city.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Pune Metro development and how it will benefit the residents of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad! 🚇🌆 #PuneMetro #Development #TrafficSolutions
