Hey there, folks! Today we have some heartbreaking news from Bhoirwadi, Pimpalgaon Joga in Junnar Taluka. A four-year-old girl named Afroz Amir Shaikh tragically passed away from a snakebite, and her family is pointing fingers at the Otur Primary Health Centre for not providing timely treatment.

It all started on the night of July 29th when little Afroz was bitten by a poisonous snake while sleeping next to her mother at her grandfather’s house. Her family rushed her to the Otur Primary Health Centre, only to find the doors locked. Once inside, they informed the staff of the snakebite, and a nurse contacted Dr. Vishal Dumbre for advice.

Dr. Dumbre reportedly advised the family to take Afroz to Narayangaon for treatment over the phone. Unfortunately, by the time they reached Narayangaon, it was too late, and Afroz was declared dead upon arrival.

The family is understandably devastated and believes that if Dr. Dumbre had examined Afroz in person, her life could have been saved. They are calling for action against the doctor and have received support from former Zilla Parishad member Devram Lande and MNS Junnar Taluka President Tanaji Tambe.

Dr. Dumbre, on the other hand, has stated that he received the call in the early hours of the morning and was told that Afroz needed to be taken to a larger facility with a ventilator. By the time he arrived at the health centre, Afroz had already been transferred to Narayangaon.

The community is demanding an investigation into the incident and action against those responsible. There are also calls to make the Otur Rural Hospital operational as soon as possible to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

Our hearts go out to Afroz’s family during this difficult time. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
