Hey there Pune peeps, brace yourselves for some serious water flow action! The Khadakwasla, Warasgaon, and Panshet dams are cranking up their discharge into the Mutha river basin due to all that rain we’ve been getting.

As of 5:00 PM today, the Khadakwasla dam spillway will be releasing a whopping 45,705 cusecs, up from 35,002 cusecs. And over at Warasgaon Dam, they’re letting out 12,458 cusecs, including 600 cusecs from the powerhouse. Panshet dam is also upping its game with a discharge of 12,432 cusecs, up from 10,500 cusecs.

These changes are happening because the dam water levels are rising fast and the rain just won’t quit. So, if you’re thinking about taking a stroll in the riverbed, think again. It’s not safe with all that extra water flowing around. And if you’ve got stuff down there, move it to higher ground ASAP.

Stay safe out there, Pune! And a big shoutout to the Sub Divisional Engineer of the Mutha Canal Irrigation Sub Division in Swargate for keeping us in the loop.
