Anu Sharma, a concerned resident of Pune, is speaking out about the alarming state of law and order in the city following a brutal attack on her son, Dhruv, in Dhanori. The incident, which took place on Sunday, started with a minor traffic dispute but quickly turned violent when a group of individuals attacked Dhruv.

Sharma shared that her son was severely beaten and threatened with gang rape by the assailants who forcibly entered their residential society. She expressed her shock and dismay at the lack of regard for the law and the safety of residents in the city.

Adding to her frustration, Sharma criticized the police for their handling of the case. Despite the seriousness of the crime and the forced entry into a residential area, she claimed that the authorities were reluctant to file a proper FIR. The language barrier further complicated communication with the police, making it challenging to seek justice for her son.

In response to the incident, Anu Sharma is demanding a thorough investigation, the arrest of the attackers, and strict action against those responsible. She is also calling for improved police responsiveness and increased sensitivity towards non-native language speakers in such situations.

While the Vishrantwadi police station has registered a non-cognisable complaint, Sharma’s family is pushing for a formal FIR and a comprehensive investigation to ensure that justice is served for Dhruv and other victims of such crimes.
