The Pune Civil Court has taken a significant step in resolving the ongoing family dispute between the Baba Kalyani family and the Hiremath siblings by mandating arbitration. This decision comes after months of legal battles and accusations exchanged between the two parties.

The Hiremath family has been summoned by the District Legal Service Authority of Pune for a meeting scheduled for Thursday to initiate the mediation process. The authority, following Justice SS Shinde’s directives, has requested both parties’ presence to address the ongoing conflict and work towards a resolution.

While the Hiremath siblings have expressed their willingness to engage in mediation with their uncle, Baba Kalyani, his legal representative, Amit Agashe, has opposed the idea. Agashe believes that the partition suit filed by the Hiremaths lacks substantial grounds and that mediation is unnecessary.

The dispute between the two families began with Baba Kalyani’s alleged refusal to transfer Hikal shares to Sugandha Hiremath as promised in a note by Kalyani’s father in 1994. Kalyani has denied the existence of a family Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) and has stated that the siblings have no claim to any family assets.

As the arbitration process begins, both parties are hopeful that a resolution can be reached without further escalation of the conflict. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
