So, here’s the scoop on the latest regarding the Porsche Taycan crash in Pune. The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) has asked the Pune police to give their two cents on a request to release the Porsche Taycan that was involved in the tragic accident back in May. The car has been chilling in the custody of the Yerawada police since the incident.

Apparently, the request for the car’s release came from a representative of the company that owns the vehicle. This company is run by a prominent builder from Pune, whose teenage son was behind the wheel during the crash in Kalyaninagar that resulted in the untimely deaths of two young software engineers.

Now, the young driver is living with his aunt after being released from the Yerawada observation home by the Bombay High Court. His parents, on the other hand, are still in Yerawada jail facing charges related to messing with the driver’s blood alcohol test.

The police are not too thrilled about the idea of letting the car go just yet. They still have some investigating to do and plan to oppose the release until they can wrap up their report for the JJB.

Speaking of the JJB, they’ve pushed back the hearing on whether the underage driver should be tried as an adult to September 28. They’re waiting on a few reports, including a psychiatric assessment, de-addiction reports, and a compliance report from the regional transport office before they can make a decision.

So, it looks like there’s still some drama to unfold in this Porsche Taycan saga. Stay tuned for more updates!
