Pune Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Pune Metro) is stepping up its game when it comes to providing convenient parking options for commuters. The expansion of pay-and-park services to seven more stations on Line-2 is set to make travelling via metro even more hassle-free.

The upcoming pay-and-park facilities will be available at key stations such as Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Sant Tukaramnagar, Phugewadi, Bopodi, Shivajinagar, Civil Court on Pune Metro Line-1, Ideal Colony, and Mangalwar Peth/RTO. This move comes on the heels of the successful launch of the pay-and-park facility at Anandnagar metro station just a month ago.

In terms of pricing, commuters can expect to pay ₹8 for the first hour, ₹12 for two hours, ₹23 for three to six hours, and ₹45 for seven to twenty-four hours of parking. Overnight parking will also cost ₹45. Two-wheeler riders can store their helmets for an additional ₹5, and a monthly pass is available for frequent metro users at ₹1,250.

To sweeten the deal, commuters with a valid metro ticket from the same day will enjoy a 25% discount on parking charges. Monthly subscription passes are also on offer for metro travel pass holders, making the service even more cost-effective.

The parking areas are equipped with top-notch amenities including boom barriers, concrete flooring, adequate lighting, and CCTV surveillance. App-enabled parking booking and parking occupancy display boards are also available to make the parking experience seamless.

Hemant Sonawane, Executive Director of the Public Relations Department, shared positive feedback about the pay-and-park facility at Anand Nagar metro station, stating that it has been running smoothly without any complaints. With plans to introduce pay-and-park services at eight stations in total, Pune Metro is clearly committed to enhancing the overall commuter experience.
