- Viman Nagar police in Pune have nabbed a 27-year-old man for trying to board a flight with a fake ticket. The man, identified as Salim Golekhan, hails from Vidya Nagar, Chinchwad.
- The police have also booked Nasiruddin Khan, a resident of Nawabganj, Uttar Pradesh, for aiding Salim in obtaining the fraudulent ticket.
- The incident came to light when Tushar Vishwanath Andhare from Dhanori filed a complaint at Vimantal police station.
- According to Senior Police Inspector Ajay Sankeshwari, Salim used the fake ticket to drop off his father at the airport, who was scheduled to fly back to Lucknow on Indigo Airlines.
- Indigo Airlines alerted the authorities after discovering the fake PNR number on the ticket, leading to Salim’s arrest and the subsequent booking of the agent involved in the scam.
