The long-awaited flyover at Rajaram Pool Chowk on Sinhagad Road in Pune is finally set to open after months of delays. The completion of the final layer of asphalt on the flyover marks the end of its construction, which has faced criticism from the public for its prolonged closure.

The flyover, spanning from Rajaram Bridge to Fun Time Theatre, was built to ease the traffic congestion on Sinhagad Road. Delays in the project were due to heavy rains over the past few weeks, causing the asphalt plant to shut down and leading to concerns about road quality.

Despite the completion of the flyover, it remained closed as it awaited an official inauguration. The NCP Sharad Pawar faction has urged for its immediate opening to the public, and the government has responded by scheduling an inauguration ceremony.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will officially open the flyover at 7 a.m. on Thursday, bringing much-needed relief to the residents of Sinhagad Road. Stay tuned for more updates on this development in Pune’s infrastructure.
