Hey Pune folks, looks like the ongoing issues of inadequate infrastructure and severe traffic congestion in the Chakan Industrial Estate are still causing headaches for local industries and residents. Despite high-level meetings led by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, it seems like not much progress has been made.

After a meeting in Mumbai on July 31, where Chakan residents and industries threatened to shut down operations due to the traffic congestion, there was some hope for immediate measures to be taken. However, apart from removing some encroachments, not much else has been done.

Another meeting was held under the direction of the District Collector, where a range of issues affecting Chakan MIDC were discussed. From garbage depots to potholes, it seems like there are a lot of problems that need solving. Unfortunately, many of these demands are outside the jurisdiction of the Industry Centre, so no immediate actions were taken.

The lack of decisive action has left local businesses and residents frustrated. The District Collector is set to hold another meeting on August 21 to revisit the matter, but the need for more immediate action is clear.

So, Pune peeps, it looks like the issues in Chakan Industrial Estate are far from being resolved. Stay tuned for updates after the next meeting on August 21. Let’s hope some concrete steps are taken to address the ongoing problems!
