In a proud moment for the city of Pune, four police officers have been honored with the prestigious President’s Police Medal for their exceptional service in maintaining law and order in the region.
IPS Officer Rajendra Dahale, who serves as the Director of the Maharashtra Intelligence Academy in Pune, has been recognized for his outstanding leadership and dedication to the field of intelligence and policing.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Satish Govekar, a key figure in the city police’s crime branch, has been awarded for his unwavering commitment to fighting crime and ensuring public safety.
Assistant Sub-Inspectors Prakash Waghmare and Anil Kale, stationed at the Pune Rural police’s local crime branch and headquarters, have also been commended for their significant contributions to maintaining law and order in their respective areas.
In addition to these accolades, nine police personnel from the Pune Rural police, who have been working in Naxalite-affected regions, have been awarded the Special Service Medal for their dedicated efforts in challenging conditions.
Nitin Waychal, the Principal of Daulatrao Jadhav Jail Officers’ Training Institute in Yerawada, has also been honored with the President’s Medal for Meritorious Service for his role in training and guiding jail officers.
Furthermore, twenty-seven personnel from the Pimpri Chinchwad police, including Senior Inspectors Mahesh Bansode and Tejaswini Kadam, have received the Special Service Medal for their exceptional work in Naxal-affected areas. Additionally, four constables from Pimpri Chinchwad have been awarded the State Director General of Police Insignia for their commendable service.
