The state government has announced the ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’ which will give eligible women in the state a monthly allowance of 1500 rupees. The first installment of this scheme will be deposited in the women’s bank accounts on the auspicious day of Rakshabandhan.
To celebrate this initiative, a state-level event will be held tomorrow at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi. The event will see the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, and many other dignitaries, ministers, and citizens.
Due to the event, traffic in the Balewadi area has been diverted. Access to the service road from Radha Chowk near Balewadi Sports Complex to the Mula River Bridge has been blocked, with only event vehicles and essential service vehicles being allowed through. Parking for the event will be at Buntara Bhavan and surrounding areas, with heavy and bulky vehicles being banned on the road to the parking place.
