Pune women residents of Kothrud had a blast at a traditional ‘Paithani Khel’ event, filled with laughter, Ukhanas, music, and entertaining games. The Mangalagaur function brought back memories of their parental homes, evoking emotions in the attendees. The positive vibes were palpable as many women won Paithani sarees and other prizes in a lucky draw.

The Amol Balwadkar Foundation organized the ‘Khel Rangala Paithanicha’ event at Pandit Farm, Karve Nagar on Saturday, drawing over 2,500 women from Kothrud. TV serial-fame Madhavi Nimkar and RJ Akshay added to the fun atmosphere as women participated in large numbers.

Prizes were aplenty in the lucky draw competition, with Sulabha Gajanan Dhumal winning a washing machine, Apurva Nitin Tapkir taking home a mixer, Pushpa Ashok Pawar scoring a refrigerator, Sarika Taware claiming a TV set, and Shubhangi Pednekar riding away on a two-wheeler.

Amol Balwadkar, the Founder of the foundation, expressed his commitment to organizing such leisure activities for women in the future, providing a platform for them to showcase their talents. The event was a hit among the beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana and the women residents of Kothrud, who expressed their joy and gratitude for the enjoyable day.
