Tragedy struck in Pune as a young man, Rushikesh Jaydev Mhasare, lost his life in a heartbreaking incident near Khadki Railway Station. The 27-year-old took the extreme step of jumping in front of a running train due to a financial dispute with five individuals. The accused have been identified as Anand Dadnaik, Balaji Bahirwal, Ganesh Bibinware, Prashant Kadam, and Vikas Kasbe.
Rushikesh, who had completed a course in pharmacology and was working at a medical store, had borrowed money from the accused and was repaying it regularly. However, things took a dark turn when the accused allegedly started harassing him, causing him to spiral into depression. In a tragic turn of events, Rushikesh left home on 1st June, prompting his father to file a missing person report at Bibwewadi Police Station.
The situation escalated when Rushikesh sent a message to his father, laying the blame on the accused for his decision to end his own life. The Railway Police Force initially registered the case as an accidental death, but Rushikesh’s parents were able to identify his body and shed light on the circumstances leading up to his suicide. Senior Police Inspector Mangal Modhwe of Bibwewadi Police Station is currently leading the investigation into this heartbreaking incident.
