Pune: The Anti-Narcotics Cell in Pune has made a major breakthrough by arresting a drug peddler in Kondhwa and seizing 12 kg of Ganja worth Rs 2.5 lakh from him. The accused, identified as Mobeen Abdul Rasheed Shaikh, age 37, hailing from Sadar Bazar, Solapur, has been booked in connection with the case.

The operation was carried out by Assistant Police Inspector Nitinkumar Naik, Police Sub-Inspector Ramkrishna Dalvi, and their team, who were on patrol in the Kondhwa area. Acting on a tip-off received by Police Ammaldar Azim Shaikh, the Anti-Narcotics Cell swiftly moved in to apprehend the suspect.

Upon intercepting Mobeen Shaikh on the roadside, the police found 12 kg of Ganja and a mobile phone valued at Rs 2.50 lakh in his possession. A case has been registered against him at Kondhwa Police Station for further investigation.

The successful operation was conducted under the leadership of Police Inspector Sudarshan Gaikwad, with the support of Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingle, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Satish Govekar.

The dedicated team of officers involved in this operation includes Police Sub-Inspector Ghule, Police Ammaldar Sahil Shaikh, Azim Shaikh, Yogesh Mandhare, Chetan Gaikwad, Sandeep Shelke, Sandeep Jadhav, Nitin Jagdale, and Nilam Patil, who worked tirelessly to ensure the successful apprehension of the drug peddler.
