Hey there, folks! Today we have some concerning news coming out of Hingne Khurd regarding the backside of Taljai Hill. It seems that the land mafia is up to no good, leveling the hill and putting the area at risk of future landslides. Yikes!

Environmental activist Anant Gharat is not taking this lying down. He’s calling on the Pune Municipal Corporation and the Maharashtra Forest Department to step in and prevent any potential disasters. He’s even reached out to the PMC Commissioner and Haveli Tehsildar to address the issue before it’s too late. And let’s not forget about Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar – Gharat wants him to kickstart the ‘Ladka Dongar Yojana’ for Pune to tackle this problem head-on.

The land mafia is pulling a fast one on everyone, sneaking in unauthorized plots on the hills despite reservations in place. They’ve even gone so far as to block a 40-foot drain in Atharva Nagar. And to top it off, they’ve been destroying waterfalls, natural springs, and streams from Taljai mountains through illegal excavation. Shameful!

It’s not just the environment that’s in danger – the forest department’s wall is at risk of collapsing due to the hill being completely leveled. Gharat is sounding the alarm, warning that a Wayanad-like incident could occur in Hingne Khurd if action isn’t taken against those responsible soon.

So, let’s hope the authorities step up and put an end to this madness before it’s too late. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing situation.
