In a shocking turn of events, a lawyer in Hadapsar has been arrested for kidnapping a friend’s father over a financial dispute. The lawyer, identified as Nitin Mhaske, hails from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and has been taken into custody by Hadapsar Police. This incident took place in the bustling Vegetable Market area of Hadapsar.

The victim, a retired officer from the Irrigation Department of the Maharashtra Government, lodged a complaint at Hadapsar Police Station after being abducted by Mhaske and his four to five accomplices. It seems that Mhaske had been pressuring the victim’s son for money, and upon discovering that the family lived in Hadapsar, he took matters into his own hands.

On 19th August, Mhaske and his associates kidnapped the retired officer and demanded a ransom of Rs 60 lakh from his son, claiming that they were owed Rs 1 Crore. The victim was eventually released near Waluj Police Station in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and upon his return to Pune, he wasted no time in reporting the incident to the authorities.

This case serves as a reminder of the lengths some individuals will go to in pursuit of money, and highlights the importance of seeking legal recourse in such situations. The Hadapsar Police are actively investigating the matter, and we can only hope that justice is served swiftly for the victim and his family. Stay tuned for more updates as the story unfolds.
