Hey Pune peeps, here’s some exciting news for you! Army Public School (APS) Pune totally nailed it at the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) Cluster Level English Debate Competition that went down on August 24, 2024. And guess what, they hosted it right at their own school grounds!
The hot topic of the day was “Artificial Intelligence Should Be Granted Legal Personhood and Rights,” and let me tell you, things got pretty intense. But the APS Pune squad, made up of Anushka Mehta, Serah Maria Johnson, and Shauryaman Bisht, totally killed it with their sharp arguments and smooth presentations. Shauryaman Bisht even snagged the title of Best Interjector for his killer interjections during the debate – talk about impressive!
Oh, and let’s not forget about Pavni Goel and Anusha from APS Dehu Road who snagged the titles of best speakers for and against the motion, respectively. These guys really dove deep into the whole ethical, legal, and societal implications of giving AI legal personhood. It was some next-level stuff, for sure!
The judges were totally blown away by everyone’s prep and confident delivery. This win for APS Pune just adds to their growing list of successes, especially after their big win at the Command Level Hindi Debating competition. Looks like APS Pune is on fire – watch out world, here they come!
